Tara Mancini is the Director of Public Policy at Power to Decide. She helps to advance Power to Decide’s policy priorities through her advocacy work, both with grassroots and policy makers. In 2017, she helped launch Power to Decide's state policy project which focuses on policies that improve information about and access to contraception.

Tara previously served as the Senior Manager of Public Policy at Power to Decide. She also worked at the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families, providing research assistance on Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and the Affordable Care Act.     

Tara earned a BA in Sociology and BA in Justice Studies from Rhode Island College and her MA in Sociology from American University. She lives in Washington, DC, where she enjoys visiting the local pandas and attending stand-up comedy shows.
