One Key Question®

One Key Question® 2-Year Recertification

Thank you for being part of a growing movement of healthcare and social services providers and agencies using Power to Decide’s One Key Question® program.

Every two years, we require that those using One Key Question® be recertified.

The process to get recertified is a simple, straightforward, two-step process: Just acknowledge the One Key Question® Code of Ethics by clicking on the button below and submit your payment. The cost of recertification is $150.00 per individual for two years.

One Key Question® is registered, intellectual property of Power to Decide, a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC. To continue to offer this high-quality program, and to help ensure that One Key Question® continues to be implemented with fidelity, recertification is required.

If you choose not to re-certify by the deadline noted above, you will no longer be able to use the One Key Question® mark and program materials.

Code of Ethics

As a certified One Key Question® (OKQ) provider1, I will consistently provide high-quality, non-judgmental care to my clients and implement OKQ with fidelity regardless of the client’s national origin, race, ethnic background, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability, insurance, pregnancy/parenting status, relationship, socioeconomics, and educational status.

Fidelity includes:

• Asking the question, “Would you like to become pregnant in the next year?”
• Allowing response to fall within four categories: Yes, Ok either way, Unsure, or No
• Providing care or a referral to care based on the clients’ response: contraception care, preconception/inter-conception care, or both.

As a One Key Question® provider, I will:

• Practice person-centered care and respect the autonomy of my client to decide if, when, and under what circumstances they want to become pregnant;
• Be responsive to my clients’ cultural, religious, and personal values and preferences;
• Examine my own biases and will set-aside such biases to provide care for my clients;
• Seek out additional training and support as needed to effectively deliver OKQ and follow-up care based on the clients’ response.

Please fill out the following fields and select submit. If re-certifying, you will be directed to the payment processing page.
