Medicaid Postpartum Coverage

Extending postpartum Medicaid coverage to one year is an important step in improving maternal health outcomes—a core component of reproductive well-being. As of April 2024, 46 states have already implemented a 12-month extension of postpartum Medicaid coverage, and 4 more states have announced plans to implement an extension.
