Jennifer Johnsen is the Vice President, Digital Programs and Education at Power to Decide.
She has spent her career creating digital and print sexual health consumer health information that is engaging, actionable, and evidence-informed. Jennifer comes to Power to Decide from the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where she has served as the Director of Health Information and an Online Strategist for 17 years. In that role, Jennifer set standards and lead content strategy and execution for all consumer-focused digital and print sexual health products, incorporating best practices from the fields of public health, behavioral science, health literacy, UX, and search engine optimization. Examples of her work include All “Learn” content on plannedparenthood.org, Spot On, a period and birth control tracking app for iOS and Android, the live Chat/Text program, decision making tools around contraception and STDs, and Planned Parenthood's health-focused social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube, garnering more than 1.5 million fans and followers.
Jennifer attended Hunter College where she received a Master's of Public Health.
