At Power to Decide, we work to ensure that all young people—no matter who they are, where they live, or what their economic status is—have the power to decide if, when, and under what circumstances to get pregnant and have a child.

Since our founding, we have worked in partnership with many leaders across the media industry to forge creative collaborations with magazine brands, digital platforms, and news organizations.

Our Resources & Information

AbortionFinder is a search tool that helps people seeking an abortion in the US find verified abortion care and support based on their location, age, and pregnancy stage. Here's how they do it.

Bedsider is an evidence-based digital platform that offers medically-accurate, relevant, and resonate information on all aspects of reproductive well-being, including sex, sexual health, and birth control. Here's how they do it.

AbortionFinder: AbortionFinder.org is our search tool that helps people seeking an abortion in the US find verified abortion care and support based on their location, age, and pregnancy stage. Our comprehensive directory contains more than 750 health centers and providers, as well as clear, up-to-date information on availability of abortion care across the US with detailed state-by-state guides in English and Spanish.

Advancing Contraceptive Access Toolkit: Our digital toolkit presents a variety of materials for elected officials, public health officials, and advocates to advance state contraceptive access policies. Currently, we focus on three policies: coverage for an extended supply of contraception, protecting contraceptive coverage, and pharmacist prescribing of contraception.

Bedsider: Bedsider.org is our innovative and evidence-based platform that offers medically-accurate, relevant, and resonant information on all aspects of reproductive well-being, including sex, sexual health, and birth control. The Bedsider clinic finder has the most comprehensive national database of more than 13K in-person and telehealth sexual and reproductive health care providers. The Bedsider method explorer contains detailed information on all methods of birth control.

Beyond the Sheets: Beyond the Sheets is a new student-led initiative to address the sexual and reproductive health needs of students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This initiative aims to advance a culture of reproductive well-being, an innovative framework centered on the belief that every person should have equitable access to the information, services, systems, and support they need to have control over their bodies, and to make their own decisions related to sexuality and reproduction throughout their lives.

Contraceptive Deserts: We track and update our contraceptive deserts map to show where people in need can and can’t access the full range of birth control methods across the country. Our data provides journalists, policy makers, thought leaders, activists, and public health officials with essential information so that together we can improve access to contraception.
