POWER TO DECIDE RECOGNIZED WITH 14th CONSECUTIVE 4-STAR RATING FROM CHARITY NAVIGATOR

November 11, 2020

(Washington, D.C.)—Power to Decide was awarded its 14th consecutive 4-star rating by Charity Navigator, the country’s largest independent charity evaluator, which provides donors with essential information about charitable giving. The 4-star rating is the highest possible rating a charitable non-profit can receive. Fewer than 1% of charities reviewed have received this distinction over such an extended time period.

“Power to Decide is proud to receive its 14th consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator acknowledging our commitment to fiscal accountability and transparency,” said Gillian Sealy, Interim CEO, Power to Decide. “This recognition again validates to our donors and supporters our adherence to industry best practices and our resolve to ensure every dollar is spent wisely.”

Further, Power to Decide has been recognized as a leader in advocating for increased information about and access to the full spectrum of reproductive health services. Power to Decide is a trusted source for research-based solutions and works with mentors, policymakers, advocates and entertainment media in order to further its mission.

“Ensuring women’s access to reproductive health care has never been more important,” continued Sealy. “The 4-star rating is important because it endorses our efforts to ensure that all young people—no matter who they are or where they live—have what they need to decide if, when and under what circumstances to get pregnant and have a child.”

Power to Decide is a private, non-partisan, non-profit organization that works to ensure all people—no matter who they are, where they live or what their economic status might be—have the power to decide if, when and under what circumstances to get pregnant and have a child.
