“I love that Power to Decide gives me a way to talk to all of my loved ones about supporting reproductive health in a way that they’re eager to listen to and engage on - family members and friends who are pro-choice and those who are pro-life all agree that helping women prevent unplanned pregnancy is important and worthy. The fact that I put resources here starts a conversation, and is a fast way to find common ground.” — Liz, a Power to Decide donor in California

This year, 2021, marks our 25th year of working to ensure the power to decide for all. A lot has changed over the years, but one thing has remained the same: our steadfast commitment to our founding principle that there’s room for everyone at the table when it comes to supporting young people.

Since our founding, we’ve been fortunate to have the support of a diverse and generous donor community. Like these individuals :

“Bearing children is best left to conscious decision, not taking unnecessary chances. Access to birth control is essential to every female in the world to determine when and if to have children. All options should be available.” — Nancy, Utah

“Contraception is critical healthcare so that women can plan their lives and have children if and when they are ready.” — Liz, Indiana

“Prevention is where it’s at.” — Gary, Texas

With donor support, we can keep providing accurate, resonant sexual health information. We can keep fighting to increase access to birth control and reproductive health care—for everyone in every community.

The last 25 years have taught us that progress is possible when we work together. Thanks to our donors, we’re proud to say that we’ve contributed to incredible declines in the teen pregnancy rate and helped millions of young people stay on track to achieve their dreams.

But there is still so much work to be done. Vast disparities in access to sexual health information and care, barriers to getting birth control, and unprecedented threats to reproductive rights all mean that your donation to Power to Decide has the potential to make a real impact on the lives of young people across the US.

That’s why this #GivingTuesday, we’re kicking off a special campaign in celebration of our 25th year. Throughout December, we’ll be celebrating our accomplishments and looking ahead toward our vision of a future where all young people have the power to decide.

Join our donor community today and support young people for years to come.
