Polling Data: #TalkingIsPower 2018

This #TalkingIsPower slide explains the polling data methodology

Teens learn about sex from a variety of sources. This ranges from sex education in school to peers to parents. To better understand where teens get information about sex, we asked 1,000 women and men between the ages of 18-34 years old who they turned to in their teen years. 

Respondents were able to choose from 11 options and were instructed to choose as many options as apply. Totals do not equal 100% as respondents could report multiple sources. These results highlight the variety of sources that young people recall consulting for information about sex. These results also reaffirm what we know to be true here at Power to Decide: champions play a prominent role in influencing young people's knowledge about sex.
