HRSA Recommends One Key Question
In December 2023 the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) recommended One Key Question® (OKQ) as an example of a screening tool that providers can use to screen patients for pregnancy intention.
HRSA is a part of the Department of Health and Human Services and its programs are responsible for improving the health of those who cannot access high-quality health care such as, pregnant people, mothers and their families, people with low incomes, people living in rural areas, people with HIV, and others.
In addition to the HRSA listing, One Key Question has previously been identified as a best practice by the The Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs and has been listed as an effective Reproductive Life Planning Strategy by the American Public Health Association.
