Wrapping Up #TalkingIsPower 2024
Thank you to everyone who recognized Talking is Power Month by sharing our blogs and conversation prompts to your networks or taking the important time to talk to a young person in your life. Your support has made our 7th annual Talking Is Power campaign a success.
Young folks need champions who are willing to help guide them on their journey without judgment. And one of the best ways to build that foundation and spark an impactful conversation is by sharing your own experiences about sex, love, and relationships with them! Here are four resources to help foster meaningful talks:
FRIES and Consent: One of the most important conversations a parent or champion can have with young people in their life is about consent.
Let’s Talk About Sex: As a teen, what are 5 ways to start a conversation about sex with your parents?
Tips for Talking to Teens: Do you have a teen in your life? Check out these tips to begin talking to them about sex, love, and relationships.
Tips for Talking About Sex: Need help to keep a conversation about sex, love, or relationships going? Check out these tips.
We also spent the month calling on our partners to join us and help empower young people to share their stories, their experiences, and their thoughts about reproductive and sexual health!
Here is a peek into who joined us:
As attacks on reproductive freedom continue to rise, it's more important than ever to give young people the tools they need to make informed decisions. Just because May and #TalkingIsPower have ended doesn’t mean you should stop talking. We hope that you will help us carry the spirit of #TalkingIsPower throughout the entire year. Show young people they can always come to you with their ongoing questions about sex, love, birth control, and everything in between!
Check out all of the amazing resources we posted over the last month to start a conversation today! Remember, champions, you’re more powerful than you think.
